Welcome to KhaneMe (the "App"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Saurabh Vinay Joshi ("we," "our," or "us"), governing your access to and use of the KhaneMe consumer discovery platform.
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the App.
KhaneMe is a discovery platform that helps users find mess establishments in their area. We provide search and discovery tools, location-based recommendations, information about mess offerings (thalis, timings, etc.), and filtering and preference management.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use this App. If you are under 18, you may only use the App with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who must review and approve these Terms, consent to your use, supervise your conduct, and accept these Terms on your behalf. By using the App, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
To access the App's features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information (name, email, phone, age, gender), maintain and promptly update it, keep your password secure and confidential, notify us immediately of any unauthorized access, and not share your credentials. You are solely responsible for all activities under your account. You may only create and maintain one account. If you are under 18, your parent or guardian has the right to access your account, monitor your activities, and request deletion at any time.
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. Prohibited conduct includes violating any law; infringing others' rights; harassing or impersonating others; spam, phishing, or fraud; manipulating impression counts or analytics; creating fake favourites or engagement; using bots or automated tools; reverse-engineering the App; interfering with its functionality; posting false, misleading or defamatory information; uploading malware; harvesting other users' information; or using the App commercially without our written consent. Violations may result in warnings, suspension, permanent termination, legal action, or reporting to authorities.
The App provides location-based discovery and search, distance calculation, favourites, a private blacklist, thali viewing (dishes, ingredients, timings as provided by mess owners), and impression tracking. Each time a mess profile appears on your screen it counts as one "view"/impression; this data is aggregated and shared with mess owners without identifying you personally.
The App and its entire contents, features and functionality are owned by Saurabh Vinay Joshi and protected by Indian and international intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, reverse-engineer, remove proprietary notices, or extract data for commercial purposes.
All information about mess establishments — names, descriptions, photos, thali offerings, ingredients, prices, timings, FSSAI numbers, and contact information — is provided by the mess establishments themselves, not by us.
You should verify all information before visiting a mess, confirm availability and pricing directly, check FSSAI licenses at the premises, and make your own assessment of food quality, hygiene and safety.
The App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob and other third-party networks to support our free service. We have no control over and are not responsible for third-party ad content or the privacy practices of advertisers.
The App requires access to your device's location to show nearby mess establishments, calculate distances, and provide location-based results. You can control location permissions through your device settings; disabling them will significantly limit functionality.
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference. We share only aggregated, anonymized analytics with mess owners.
We do not guarantee or verify food quality, hygiene standards, food-safety practices or FSSAI compliance, proper handling, or accuracy of ingredient lists. Before visiting, research the mess and check for valid FSSAI licenses. At the mess, assess hygiene and inform them of any allergies or dietary restrictions. Any health issues, food poisoning, or allergic reactions must be addressed directly with the mess and/or medical professionals. Always inform the mess about your allergies — we cannot guarantee allergen-free food or cross-contamination prevention.
THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not warrant that the App will function without interruption or errors, that defects will be corrected, that it is free of harmful components, or that information provided by mess establishments is accurate, current, safe, or of good quality.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY INDIAN LAW, SAURABH VINAY JOSHI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages; loss of profits, revenue, data or use; food poisoning, allergic reactions or illness; payment disputes or pricing discrepancies; or the actions or omissions of mess establishments.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Saurabh Vinay Joshi from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs or expenses arising from your use or misuse of the App, your violation of these Terms or any law, your interactions with mess establishments or consumption of food, your failure to verify food safety or FSSAI compliance, or any injury or illness resulting from food consumed at a mess discovered through the App. If you are under 18, your parent or guardian agrees to this indemnification on your behalf.
You may terminate your account at any time using the account-deletion feature or by contacting us. Upon deletion, your account information is removed, your favourites and blacklist are deleted, and historical analytics may be retained in anonymized form. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for breach of these Terms, fraudulent or illegal activity, or manipulation of analytics. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature, and may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes in the App. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of Pune, Maharashtra shall have exclusive jurisdiction. Before formal proceedings, you agree to contact us and allow 15 days to resolve the dispute. If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (Location: Pune; Language: English). You agree disputes will be resolved individually, not as a class or representative action.
These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement. If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions continue in full force. Failure to enforce any right is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. Nothing here creates any partnership, joint venture, employment, or agency relationship. The English version prevails over any translation.

If you are under 18, your parent or guardian must review and approve these Terms, is responsible for supervising your use, may request access to or deletion of your account, and accepts all responsibilities on your behalf. If we learn that a user under 13 created an account without parental consent, we will terminate the account and delete all associated data.
These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Mess Owner") and Saurabh Vinay Joshi ("we," "our," or "us"), governing your access to and use of the KhaneMe Business App. By using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
KhaneMe is a discovery platform that connects consumers with mess establishments. We provide tools to create and manage your mess listing, showcase your thalis, and view analytics about consumer engagement.
KhaneMe does not process payments, prepare or deliver food, operate your mess, act as your agent or partner, take responsibility for food quality or safety, or guarantee consumer footfall or sales.
You are an independent business owner. Your relationship with KhaneMe is non-exclusive and limited to listing services. All transactions with consumers are directly between you and the consumer.
You must be at least 18 years of age, have legal capacity to enter contracts, own or operate a legitimate mess establishment, have authority to represent the business, and comply with all applicable food-safety and business laws.
All content must be accurate, truthful and not misleading. You must use real photos of your mess. Content must comply with applicable laws and must not infringe third-party rights or contain offensive material.
Keep information current and accurate. Update prices when they change. Mark items as unavailable if not being served. Provide accurate ingredient information for allergen awareness.
An FSSAI license is optional for listing on KhaneMe but strongly recommended. You are solely responsible for obtaining required licenses, food-safety compliance, hygiene standards, and legal operations. We do NOT verify FSSAI licenses with authorities.
You must not create false listings, impersonate other businesses, post fake reviews, manipulate analytics, use the platform for illegal activities, violate consumer rights, or misuse the personal data of any consumer.
The KhaneMe platform is owned by us. You grant us a non-exclusive license to display your listing content. You retain ownership of your content.
We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms, provision of false information, consumer complaints about food safety, or non-compliance with laws. You may close your account at any time through the app.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. We are not responsible for consumer decisions, food-safety issues, or business outcomes.
Disputes shall be resolved through negotiation, mediation, or arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. Jurisdiction: Pune, Maharashtra, India.
